The property is a large detached house which required external walls to be built around a single claypot brick construction. This was a major project which Ian Rice Builders completed to a very high standard. His word of guarantee is his bond. We know that he is a builder you can trust and fully rely upon along with his team to do an excellent job. We have no hesitation to recommend Ian Rice Builders Ltd.

Ian's team built a large extension on the back of our house. His team did a great job and we're very happy with it. Things that stood out for me about Ian are that he's straightforward and easy to deal with, honest and sticks to his word, and when problems come up he's very fair and gets things sorted. I'd definitely use his company again.

Ian Rice was involved in initially preparing groundworks, stone walling and interior finishing for a porch. He made such an excellent job of it that was on time and on budget that when it was decided to build a conservatory he was the preferred craftsman. Ian was fantastic at project managing the building works and suggesting cost saving alternative solutions. As well as his own team, the tradespeople that he used were also very good, friendly and easy to have around the place. Ian was totally trust worthy and committed to helping us achieve the building we wanted. He put a lot of time in working with the architect and engineer at the beginning of the project to reduce overall costs, resulting in a better scheme.

Ian and his team were great from the initial site visit. They were friendly, courteous, patient, hard working, highly skilled and sensitive to our family’s needs during the build. They kept to agreed deadlines and the result and finish is exactly what we envisaged. Ian is knowledgeable, experienced and good at problem solving whilst keeping the client’s budget in consideration. His team including the subcontractors were first rate and he was on site the majority of the time. He would always either answer his phone or get back to u that day and where there were problems along the way he was honest and upfront and worked extra hours to get over them. It was difficult to find a builder to take on what we were after and I’m so glad we chose Ian Rice. I would highly recommend him to anyone planning any size of project. Sign them up!

Ian did an amazing job with our kitchen. There were several unforeseen challenges and Ian always found a resolution to the problem. We will definitely be using him for future work.

Ian Rice Building Ltd was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. They always replied to messages and queries and helped and advised us every step of the way throughout the build. We were kept up to date at all times and as with most builds, there’s usually a complication along the way to deal with, on these occasions we were always informed and offered solutions to the problem, which was incredibly reassuring for us. The quality of the work carried was fantastic. They were always on site when expected, friendly and knowledgeable of the project. All work was carried out very professionally and with great workmanship, the site was always left tidy every day. I cannot recommend this company enough and would have no hesitation using them again and referring to others.

Mr rice and his team were very responsive and arrived when they said they would, plus took the time to revisit to explain the work carried out. The work they undertook was very good quality but he also undertook remedial work which was discovered once he had spoken with me. However, he did not carry out agreed work which, in the end, proved not to be unnecessary which shows great honesty. A builder of good integrity with great advice. A happy, hard-working and competent group of workers - they worked through some appalling weather. From the start, they explained what they were doing and why, they consulted me when a decision needed to be made and respected my comments. Apart from changes I made to the plans along the way, Ian adhered to the original estimate. Altogether, they made what could have been a stressful time into an interesting and enjoyable experience. I am very happy with the work done and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Ian, his co-workers and contractors have made an excellent job of building our extension to the rear of our property. From his initial visit to quote to the final completion and review meeting, Ian has been 100% professional. The build came slightly under budget and completed ahead of schedule despite some horrendous downpours. Throughout their time with us, all of Ian's colleagues Tom, Luke and Cameron have been courteous, mindful of our privacy and extremely hard working. All of their workmanship has been to a very high level and the communication has been faultless throughout. Ian's chosen sub contractors were exactly the same and were also a pleasure to work with. From the first contact with Ian he was so very helpful even before we confirmed that he would be doing the work he helped us through the planning process. Once work began there were real difficulties with the build and foundations, but Ian and his boys gave us the confidence to continue with the build. The end result is that we have an extension that has been finished to a very high standard and exceeds our expectations. Ian and his boys worked extremely had throughout lockdown and were always punctual and kept us informed and involved throughout.
