Highlights

"John sorted out all issues needed and was extremely efficient, helpful and have us a very fair price. We shall continue to use him for all our electrical needs in the future."

AnonymousCheckatrade5.0 rating

"I phoned John, who was able to come out the next day at 09:30. He was on time, and soon located and rectified the problem resulting from the severed cable. I was impressed with his friendliness while working meticulously and with the fact that he donned overshoes to enter the house and took every tiny bit of waste material away. I would recommend John without hesitation for any domestic electrical work."

AnonymousCheckatrade5.0 rating

"John is a brilliant electrician. His work is of the highest standard, and he is able to explain everything well, completed the work on time, was punctual and tidy, and a hard worker. He made the dusty messy process of rewiring seem as stress-free as we could have imagined. We highly recommend him."

Before you hire an electrician

In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations — confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done — it is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
Confirm they cover your area and can actually come out in your timeframe before anything else.
Read recent reviews for reliability and turning up on time — not only the quality of the work.
