J Field construction did our garage conversion into utility room from our kitchen. Engaging builders can be worrying that you’ve chosen the right company. I’m so pleased that we did John and his team are professional, polite, funny, tidy & hard workers. They turned up on time every day and did full days! Communication was great all the way through the project. They were in full control of the works from start to finish and we felt completely comfortable having them in our home each day. Very professional work undertaken by Jon and his team with this bathroom extension and fitting of full new bath, shower, vanity unit, mirror cupboard, tiling, plastering. The quality is beyond what we had hoped for and would absolutely recommend to anyone. Their ability to adapt to developments during the works, and their ability to show and explain, demonstrated their innate knowledge and capabilities. Great company from start to finish. Worked alongside architects drawings to create an extension that was above and beyond what we were expecting in every way. Jon was great, popping on site on a regular occurance to check on progress. Martin and Baz (and others) were punctual to site every day and demonstrated professionalism and hard graft throughout. Would definitely reccommend and would personally work with again in an instant.

This was to reinstate the path following underpinning around our extension. The project was amended midway to include a paved patio rather than chippings which was the original plan. Jon and the team accommodated this and it looks amazing. The patio had been dead ground for years. Special shout out to Martin and Sean for all their hard work which included some plumbing. And thank you Jon for the help and support throughout. 100% recommend.

Jon Field managed the end to end build and kitchen fit of our single storey extension to extend our kitchen and living space at Rose Cottage from June until November 2025. Throughout the project, Jon was extremely transparent, every unforeseen problem was met with a swift solution and honest discussions. Despite some challenges, he has always done the right thing for us as clients to ensure we were happy with the end result. We are over the moon with the end product and the extension has transformed our home, the kitchen fitting undertaken also is exemplary. We will recommend Jon in future.

Removal of lean to, new guttering and fascia boards. The work was carried out to a ver high standard in a timely manner. Jon was friendly and quick to respond to any queries.

This is the third job where we have engaged J Field Construction and we have not been disappointed. Underpinning, soak away for drive, new flat roof and windows. Each element of the work was clearly defined in the quote and contract. We found the team to be friendly, hard-working, on time and tidy. I never thought I’d be waxing lyrical about a flat roof but it looks awesome. As for the concrete underpinning……there was a lot but no one will be any the wiser! Thank you all for a totally thorough and professional job, really pleased with everything.

The wall at the front of our property was being pitched forward thanks to a stubborn shrub. I requested a quote and was given 2 options to resolve the issue. I chose to have the wall dismantled and rebuilt using the original bricks. The end result looks authentic and original, the skill to get it this way cannot be underestimated. I hope the before and after photos illustrate this better than I am at explaining it. I would have no hesitation in recommending J Field Construction. The knowledge and skill they impart is backed up by the quality and craftsmanship of the work. Fantastic job.

We found J Field Construction after the previous (surveyor-recommended) contractor let us down numerous times. From the start, Jon and his team were incredibly professional and helpful - ensuring all the correct paperwork was in place, ensuring we understood exactly what was going on and were happy with any change of plan, and of course completing the job to a high standard. Various unexpected challenges arose, but each time Jon communicated clearly, advised us on our options, and supported our choices. Jon visited the property to assess the cause of a leak in the basement following heavy rains. We discussed a possible solution and the written quote clearly stated what was being carried out. The work involved removing and rebuilding brickwork to include air bricks for the basement. Tilting the existing concrete slab away from the house and sealing with lead flashing. Albeit a relatively small job it has been completed to a very high standard I’m very pleased with how it now looks. Jon & Martin arrived on time, both friendly and clearly passionate about their craft. Highly recommended.

We are now in the final throes of a two storey extension and could not be happier. Even when faced with issues, we get comprehensive reports and solutions bought forward so we can all agree. All the people on site are clean, tidy and knowledgable and happy to explain every step. I would 100% recomment Jon and his team for small and large work! A*

We needed some work done quickly , due to a house move. The company managed to reschedule, and fitted us in very swiftly. Communication could not be faulted. - letting us know time of arrival, progress with work, and when they were delayed in traffic and would be a few minutes late. Work was completed promptly, the area was kept tidy at all times, and all "mess" taken away swiftly. Both men were very friendly/efficient. The job was great, very neat .We even received a follow up call to check we were satisfied. I would not hesitate to use them again, and would 100% recommend them to others.

The whole team at J Field Construction have been very efficient in the ground works, building work, communication and workmanship. They keep us informed of any issues, but have kept the site very tidy and keep to a very good work ethic.
