"The lads who came to do the garden from the very start were always 100%. Came out to do me a quote on mowing the grass, strimming, and helped remove an unwanted bush. They worked around my schedule, I was happy with the quote and got a date sorted there and then. Came on time on the date we had set. While they were doing the job they kept the communication up when regards to how short I wanted the grass, gave me advice on how long to wait in-between each cut etc. They are the most polite young men I could have had to do the job and will definetly be booking in with them again soon for big jobs"

Never pay a large deposit up front — agree a staged payment schedule tied to completed milestones, and hold a small retention until snagging is done.
Get it in writing: an itemised quote with scope, materials, start and finish dates, and how any changes (variations) will be priced.
