Highlights

"Excellent service from Ben at Kford Electrical - punctual, friendly and very helpful. Went above and beyond for us and job was completed efficiently and to a high standard. Found pricing very reasonable and have booked with them again. It’s great to find an electrician you can rely on."

"Ben and Joe from Kford Electrical came to remove a shower switch and replace with a fuse box and oven switch. They arrived promptly & were both very polite. We agreed what they were going to do & they got started. The job turned out to be a bit more complicated than expected but Ben and Joe figured out how to solve the issues and did a great job. They tidied as they went and cleared up fully at the end of the job. We are really pleased with the job & the oven installers were thrilled when they came to install our new oven."

Smart checks

Before you hire an electrician

In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations — confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done — it is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
