"Mark and Matt recently installed a new kitchen for us, as well as doing the prep work beforehand to get the space ready for install. They're a great team and the two of them work together effortlessly. Between them they've got a tonne of experience and so the several issues that arose throughout the process were of no issue for them to resolve. Great attention to detail and very conscientious, ensuring we still had access to utilities where possible, and leaving the place tidy at the end of each day. Great communication with us, and they charged a fair price for their work."

"Mark & Matt did a fantastic job spending 12 weeks from Aug to Nov refurbishing our downstairs; incl a new kitchen, taking down a wall, new patio doors, new bathroom & cloakroom, replastering & decorating. Workmanship was to a very high standard. They were very reliable, always turning up when they said they would, & worked hard. They are also very friendly & tidied up at the end of every day. They were good at planning & managing the work, & letting us know what we needed to decide or buy & solved any problems they encountered & suggested options. The work came in on budget. Highly recommended"

The guys at MAP building are amazing, they helped me with my choice of flooring and everything needed, they were always on time with a good work attitude. Before you hire a builder
Never pay a large deposit up front — agree a staged payment schedule tied to completed milestones, and hold a small retention until snagging is done.
Get it in writing: an itemised quote with scope, materials, start and finish dates, and how any changes (variations) will be priced.
Be wary of a cash-only price or pressure to start tomorrow — both are red flags for an unaccountable job.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
