22 out of 100, with a caution: only 3 reviews held yet. A small public record keeps the evidence thin, and the score reflects that.

Excellent work! Clean , tidy and efficient. I work shifts and he was willing to accommodate me by coming to do the work on a Saturday afternoon. Can't fault him at all.

Matthew came to my house on time as arranged to change 9 kitchen spotlights. On arrival he was very friendly and understood exactly what I needed him to do, during his time here he was very helpful and answered any questions I had regarding the job he was doing and even advised on a couple of other jobs I’ve shown him. Matthew tidied up after himself once the job was complete and I am very satisfied with my new lights. Would 100% recommend this company and will use for any more jobs I need in the future.

We contacted MGC Elec about fitting our extractor fan. From the first conversation Matthew was very friendly, polite, helpful and professional. He came to give us a quote and was very knowledgeable about what needed doing. When completing the work he was very punctual and the job was done to a very high standard, no damage was caused and the room was left very clean and tidy. I would highly recommend MGC Elec to anyone needing any electrical work done.

Electrical work in homes in England & Wales should be done by a registered competent person who can self-certify it meets the Part P safety rules. Check they're on the official register.

Check the electrical register
In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations. Confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done. It is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
