Highlights

"Mordors were absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond their role! I had three doors which needed putting on door frames. Mordors kindly talked me through which doors to purchase, where cost savings could be made and did an excellent job on the day. As a young female it’s brilliant to find a company which I can trust and rely on. Would highly recommend!"

"I had a problem with my wooden front door which had expanded after heavy rain and cold and I was not able to close it. I called the following morning and Greg was able to come same day which I very much appreciated. He was able to repair the door and trim the edges so it closed easily again. I was very happy with the work and the rapid response. Also excellent communication as he advised after I called what time he should be able to confirm and confirmed later on and arrived exactly on time. I was pleased with the price too. I will certainly use Mordors again!"

"Greg and Dan did a great job replacing a wooden fascia board at height, fitting a new bath panel and wooden doorstep. Prompt, efficient and friendly, providing advice and doing extra bits of work such as cementing where needed."

Before you hire a builder

Never pay a large deposit up front — agree a staged payment schedule tied to completed milestones, and hold a small retention until snagging is done.
Get it in writing: an itemised quote with scope, materials, start and finish dates, and how any changes (variations) will be priced.
Be wary of a cash-only price or pressure to start tomorrow — both are red flags for an unaccountable job.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
