I used this business to wire a nursing home. This work is ongoing but I am happy to recommend Ian, Trevor and Jordan. I've found them experienced and knowledgeable.

I've had my whole house re-wired by MW Electrical about a year ago. This work included putting circuit breakers on. Mark was quick, hones and reliable.

I have called on Ian a few times now, great friendly gi that does a fantastic job at a great price. Trustworthy and always reliable, look no further if you need any electrical job doing.

We had quotes from other co's over £1000 more and from 1 to 3 weeks for total rewire of large 3 bedroom house. What's great about Ian and MW electrical is they charge a flat rate fee for each socket and light switch regardless of what's involved and Ian came with a team of 5 people. Job done in 3 days, wow! Would definitely definitely recommend and use again, traders like him are priceless to know - exceptional value for money and lovely bloke, thanks!

We had a lighting problem in our kitchen resulting in a badly lit kitchen. Ian called late afternoon and diagnosed the problem. He returned the following morning and fitted the required parts. He was busy and it was a small job, but we appreciated the fact that it was carried out so quickly.

Called them on Thursday and they came on time this morning(Saturday).Priced up for 2 small jobs,got the stuff,fitted them-job done.Punctual,helpful and trustworthy.I will use them again.

Total re-wire of our bungalow and new fuse board, work done to high standard. 1st class team lead by Ian and Trevor completed in 3 days, always made sure we where left with lights and power overnight. Would be very happy to use again.

I contacted Michiel West T/A MW Electrical after seeing the reviews here on Which. My son had bought a flat which needed extensive work - absolutely everything needed doing. Ian came to see the flat, made a very quiet and ordered assessment of what needed doing and gave me an estimate. He did point out that there were one or two unknown limits to some of the tasks but on further investigation, he found that these wouldn't be as difficult as he had thought they might be. In the end we weren't far from his initial estimates. He provided a new electricity supply and moved the fuse box inside the flat. He rewired everything putting in sockets and ceilings lights, wiring for kitchen appliances, an extractor fan in the bathroom, lots of sockets in the bedrooms and lounge and did a wonderful job. The attention to detail by himself and his crew was excellent and they cleared up everything after them. We went a little over the schedule because of the Beast from the East so he had some emergencies to attend to. Apart from that all went very well and I am relieved that all has been done properly and very well to boot. I will certainly use Ian's services again. He heads a small but excellent company, can be relied upon to do everything that is needed and to turn up when he should. His advice was so helpful in my being able to schedule the works in the correct order so the tradesmen didn't fall over each other. His company is an excellent one to have in my address book.

I have now used MW Electrical on two occasions Ian and his team are polite and helpful tidying up after the work is completed I am pleased with the electrical work under taken re-wiring and new consumer unit and would use them again in the future

Called Ian after being let down several times by other electricians came round as promised, assessed the job and fixed the fault for a very reasonable price highly recommended. Will use again and definitely recommend.

Our home required rewiring we decided to use MW Electrical for the work. Initially, Ian arrived to quote for the work, spending considerable time checking each room, making notes relating to the work required, providing valuable suggestions. Ian was extremely knowledgeable and experienced in relation to the work which we required. A clear quote was provided which itemised all costs by room which was a great help, rather than just a total cost which seems to be the norm these days. We were extremely pleased with the work carried out. Ian and Jordan were excellent everything was completed with the minimum of disruption to us, the advice and guidance throughout was brilliant as we were regularly kept up to date on the progress. We would not hesitate in recommending MW Electrical enough and the overall impression from start to finish was “nothing was too much trouble” which is so reassuring these days.

Electrical emergency (complete outage) fixed in double-quick time; professionally and with deep respect; and for a very reasonable cost. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. They responded to a late afternoon emergency callout and arrived within half an hour (other electricians said that they could come in 5 months’ time). They fixed the fault quickly and efficiently and restored the power by replacing a key component. Superb! Five stars. Thank you so very much!

I am 75 and live with my partner in an old terraced cottage. The electrics were last updated over 40 years ago, when I last had the cottage improved. I saw previous reviews on Which? and asked for a quote. The quote being much what I expected, I gave them the go-ahead to procede. They were able to start quite quickly and, when they did, I found them friendly and industrious (it was the owner and his son). They were very good at explaining what they were doing and as this was a total rewire were able to work around us and we were never completely without electricity. Considering the age of the propery (hardly any gaps etc. to run cables) they were very neat with their work and always insisted on cleaning up before they left each day. They always kept us informed about what work and what rooms they would be working in the following day. At our request they started mid-morning and then worked through the day without stopping for lunch. We can both recommend them.

I found this company online as I needed a couple of lights fitted in my porch and outside. Every other company I found wanted to charge upfront just to take a look and give me a quote but these didn't. When they came out to check my other light switches they discovered I did not have the right wiring downstairs, nor an up to date fuse board. A quote was provided the next night that I found to be very reasonable so I arranged for them to come and do the work, which again they were happy to do with no payment upfront, only on completion of the job. They came when they said they were going to, and I found them all to be very respectful, reliable and trustworthy.

Ian called around the same day we contacted him. He assessed the problem and advised us of the solution. He said he would quote within 24 hours. We received the quote within that time frame. Ian advised us there would be minimal disruption and he also gave us an idea of how long the job would take and when he could start. It’s fair to say that everything he said proved to be accurate. We were very impressed with Ian, his son Jordan and Steve. The work was carried out in a professional manner with minimal mess. I have no hesitation in recommending MW Electrical.

I was very pleased with the service provided by MW Electrical. Unlike some traders, Ian actually answers his phone and was happy to explain the work to me as a non-technician. He was also well priced and did the work within the required timeframe, promptly sending me the paperwork and photos of the completed work . I'd definitely recommend them.

I had the privilege of meeting all 3 generations during the complete rewire of an old house that we had done, definitely an established family business. Ian and company were friendly, scheduled us in quickly and arrived on time, and were easy to communicate with. Ian worked with us around some concerns we had about whether some of the old decor could be preserved, in which case they used some trunking and surface mounted outlets rather than breaking through some of the old plaster, and was happy to discuss options about moving outlets, adding extra lights etc. A pleasure to work with. Recommended, will definitely call back if we need more done.
