met paul in 2018, he was very professional, had a full break down of the quote, which wasnt the cheapest but seemed the most thought through and realistic. had a few issues with things that i had ordered that was not quite right but paul always had a solution to the problem and made sure i never lost out…he done my extension which seemed to fly up, never had days where no one was there, the work progressed quickly and efficiently. i was kept fully informed about every stage which gave me a better understanding of the process. very trustworthy guys that where polite and well mannered at all times, always asking permission for even the littlest things never intruding on me and my family’s space and kept everything clean and safe, very professional! i used many builders beforehand but since then any thing i need i call paul and he makes sure i get good service no matter how small the job…

Paul did an excellent job of converting a downstairs bedroom and wet room into an open plan kitchen/diner with a separate utility room. He also created a bespoke coat cupboard and widened the entrance hall. Everything was completed to a high end standard and to schedule. Would highly recommend and will be using again.

I had a kitchen to be put in from Howdens. It was littered with mistakes - they sent the wrong colour, the wrong door, this was damaged, that was damaged, but throughout, Paul was calm and kind. He sorted everything out for me, he did it all with a smile despite the job being weary. His work was excellent - he goes on courses to learn new skills which is always a good sign. He managed multiple tasks, attending at times to suit me to finish the job. The finished product is gorgeous, and i'm very happy to recommend Paul for any building jobs you might need.

We contracted Oval Construction to build a stud wall, to create a new, private room at our business premises. We are really happy with the work from Paul and his team. The standard is exceptional and looks fantastic. The attention to detail really makes the difference, even our clients and visitors are impressed with the finish. Paul and his team undertook the work for our extensive ground-floor renovation. From our the initial appointment, Paul gave us confidence that he would be the right man for the job. The works included the removal of ground floor walls, new staircase, installing new kitchen & utility units, new tiled floor, new doors, built-in joinery items, re-wiring and full decoration. Throughout the work, Paul & Rich maintained a high level of professionalism, working in an efficient and considerate manner. The work was completed to a high standard, especially the installation of our bespoke timber kitchen units. Changes to the project scope were well monitored and additional costs agreed fairly. We would definitely invite Paul back to undertake future work.

Cant fault in any way, had issues with units sent wrong size but they adapted to fit and you would never no. A pleasure to use and would highly recommend. We have re booked to get our bathroom done in the autumn

Paul and his team converted my under stairs area. This was not made easy by the fact they had to undertake the work in a constricted space. Nevertheless, the tasks of installing a false floor, plastering and painting were carried out in a very professional manner and to a high standard. Paul installed our loft ladder we had bought. He came and started the fitting as a favour to us as we had the ladder in the box, cluttering up the downstairs hallway. He modified the loft and had the ladder screwed in on his first visit. The next day he finished the job and we are more than pleased with the end result. Paul turned up in time on both visits and we soon learned he is a perfectionist. Superb quality of work. Very friendly and we are going to use him again on fitting new doors and replacing a missing piece of coving. Highly recommend Oval construction
