We called Peter Higson when our boiler was condemned, in a crisis! he sent out a couple of his team really quickly to give us a quote and look at the job. We’re really glad we used Peter Higson & Co - good comms throughout, and very efficient and friendly engineers, who have done an incredibly quick job to get the new boiler installed. The pipe work and finish on the job is high quality, would definitely recommend. Thanks to James, Jack, Ben and Andrew!

His team includes Jack, James, Ben and Andy (electrician) were reliable, efficient, polite and professional: arrived on time, finished installing our new Worcester Bosch Boiler which took only one day. I would just like to say how amazing it was having Andy Scott and Ben working in the house today, so very polite very helpful Ben- serviced the boiler, didn't even know he was still, just got on with everything couldn't ask for more and explained somethings to me before he left Andy and Scott - doing electrics such lovely men very helpful and just generally really nice people All 3 cleaned up after there work what more could you ask for AMAZING

I visited an empty house that I am selling and discovered that the central heating boiler was not working. Being the coldest day of the year this was obviously a big problem. Plus, I live 150 miles from the house. And was only in the area for 2 days. Luckily, a family member who lives locally recommended Peter to me. From the first phone call Peter was helpful, friendly and polite. He organised a visit for the next day to determine the problem. Ben, one of his team, met me at the house as planned. He discovered that the heat exchange pump had split. It was an old boiler so we decided that the only option would be a replacement. Peter phoned me that evening with a recommendation of the boiler I should go for, a quote for doing the job and said that he could fit the boiler within the week. It was such a relief to know that I could return home and leave the house in safe hands. Peter was as good as his promise. He picked up the keys for the house. Fitted the boiler on the scheduled day. And then returned the keys to the Agent. He set the boiler controls to ensure that the whole house would be heated to the correct levels. I've been today to check the work. It is excellent. And no mess anywhere. I would definitely recommend Peter and his team.

We had underfloor heating and tiling done by this company. Mark and Tom( tilers) and Andy (electrician) were excellent Mark talked us through the process at the start and explained what they were going to do and how long it would take. We had some issues as our house is very old so none of our walls are straight but Mark and Tom worked a miracle and it looks amazing! The underfloor heating is a joy especially on cold mornings. Highly recommend this company but just make sure you’ve lots of biscuits…..Tom is a big fan of a choccy digestive!

Our boiler, which was 22 years old and not worth repairing, failed. Peter Higson (Peter Higson Plumbing, Heating, Air Con & Electrical Co Ltd) came around to survey the work needed on 22nd Nov, send a written quote the same day and booked the job in for the 27th Nov. The installation team turned up on time and finished the job within the day. The carpets were refitted, the area was thoroughly vacuumed and left as it was when they arrived. Subsequently, we thought we detected a smell of gas. Mr Higson sent a man around first thing the next morning and thoroughly checked the whole installation for leaks. None were found, but it was very reassuring that we received sure prompt attention.

Following my boiler breaking, I reached out to Pete who was able to send someone to review my boiler the next working day and install my new boiler the next. I’m very happy and grateful for the work that was completed - it was carried out efficiently and to an extremely high standard. Would definitely recommend.

Peter Higson's ‘crew’ have worked solidly for 3 weeks to deliver me a fabulous bathroom. The men were extremely polite and amazingly cheerful all the time. It was obvious that they are a bonded group who work together really well. They are prompt and very trustworthy. The work carried out is of the highest standard. I was consulted regularly when they had to make decisions- such as the position of door handles. I would highly recommend this company.

I have used this family firm over many years and have always been pleased with the standard of work, the professional attitude of the team, their helpfulness and trustworthiness. This job entailed the rewiring of my house, the removal of a gas fire and the fitting of an electric fire in its place. I was kept informed of progress throughout the whole process and appointments were kept. When the work was finished, the house was left clean and tidy, all rubbish was removed and any snags were dealt with immediately. This may not be the cheapest firm you could find, but it is well worth the money for excellent work, peace of mind that any problems will be dealt with promptly and efficiently, and, most importantly, for the knowledge that this firm can be left to do an honest job in my absence. I can recommend them wholeheartedly.

Andy and his team have just completed a full rewire of my 2 bedroomed terraced property. From the initial quote, the team were very professional, and open with their pricing and were very easy to deal with. You may find cheaper quotes, however, they will struggle to match the standard of work carried out by the team from Peter Higson & Co

The old boiler I inherited at the beginning of Feb after moving into my new house stopped working completely. I called Peter Higson on Monday morning.A survey was completed at lunch time. I received my quote mid afternoon and the work commenced two days later. Peter’s team of engineers were a delight to have in the house… arriving on time, friendly, polite & extremely professional. James, Jack, Ben & Andy all worked very hard to get the house warm again as soon as possible by replacing the old boiler & pipe work. I am absolutely delighted to have found this company & will most definitely recommend them to family, friends & neighbours. As we were without hot water and heating they slotted us in within a couple of days. the work was completed to a great standard and the staff were excellent

Peter and his team understood fully the issue with our old boiler and provided clear alternatives. We opted for the boiler replacement. His team arrived on time, carried out the work efficiently and with minimal disruption. As the installation was going to take 2 days they ensured that we had heat and hot water at the end of the first day. They explained how this new boiler operated along with its new thermostat. After installing, an issue arose with an existing flow value which Peter got his team to address and replace. Very friendly installers and I would recommend them to others.

Job was a yearly boiler service. Owner is friendly and response to e-mails with clear information when getting quote, booking and answering other queries. Engineer arrived at the day exactly the minute informed by owner, very professional and friendly. Paid after job successfully completed. A highly disciplined company that is easy to work with and can be trusted.

We had a full house rewire and lots of plastering to cover artexed and wallpapered ceilings. It was completed to the agreed schedule and budget and the price we agreed was the price we paid. Carpet protectors were used throughout the house and the team cleaned up every night. They moved furniture where necessary. The team were very friendly, helpful and cheerful. They offered advice and suggestions as they went along. They had a 'can do' attitude and were very professional. We were fully informed at all stages and any questions we had were answered informatively and patiently. As part of a "re-imagination" of our living room we required an old horizontal radiator replacing with an upright model. First impressions were really positive. Their initial communication was prompt, and our questions and change requests were handled without delay, and a quotation arrived promptly. The staff who installed the radiator were very amicable, checking at each stage things were being done correctly. They did have a minor issue with airlocks but these are always a problem with our system and they sorted it efficiently and professionally.
