Paul Digweed is an experienced professional who works to a very high standard, treating each job as though he were doing it for himself. He, rightly, takes pride in his finished work and I have always been very pleased with the work he has carried out over recent years. The latest job, in June 2025, involved the redecoration of a guest bedroom, including a large new timber window, the redecoration of the staircase/hall wall and skirtings and the complete renovation and revarnishing of the hardwood front door, including the repainting of the portico surround and fitting new door furniture. He turned up as scheduled, and on time, and worked incredibly hard, paying great attention to the preparatory phase, which paid huge dividends in the finished result. He is helpful and pleasant to have around and I am more than happy for him to work in the house if I am out. His prices are fair. I have no hesitation in recommending him to prospective clients.

Paul decorated our three bedroom flat to a very high standard. He was punctual, tidy and worked efficiently. No paint residue on hinges the cutting in on the ceiling was excellent and cracks on plasterboard was repaired with GRP tape. He used top quality paint. Overall he did an amazing job and we would highly recommend Paul.

I have had Paul work on my previous home over the years and in September last year he completely decorated my whole apartment. Ceilings, walls & woodwork. Paul's work is first class, he is a perfectionist. I have recommended him to friends & colleagues over the years and they have all been delighted with his work & attention to detail. The decorating was better than we hoped for, and he put every photo and mirror back on the walls exactly as they'd originally been. His attention to the smallest detail was amazing. Paul Digweed has been decorating for me for the last 8 Years. He has redecorated the porch, landing hall and stairs, breakfast room, kitchen, downstairs toilet, bathroom and bedroom. He always arrives when he says he will and is a pleasure to have in the house. His work is meticulous and visitors are amazed at the standard of his work. His preparatory work is thorough, ensuring a good finish; vulnerable surfaces are covered and he cleans up very well at the end of each day. Paul is always willing to go the extra mile, moving furniture, hanging pictures, even on one occasion sourcing and fitting a front door bell as I did not have one. Paul takes enormous pride in his work and is an outstanding decorator. I can thoroughly recommend him, only wishing that he had not moved away from my area.

Painted pebbledash outside walls of house. Took extreme care removing guttering, preparing and painting walls. all work carried out to a high standard. He arrived when he said he would, competed the work on time and left the premises in a clean and tidy condition.

We had a flood on the first floor of our house. This led to a large amount of damage to the ceilings and walls of the ground floor. I had hired a contractor to help dry the walls and ceilings before Paul Digweed was hired for internal decoration. His work was impeccable. He went above and beyond, highlighting areas of concern where the walls were not fully dry - this even meant he had to do more work than was initially planned. Everything was done to a very high standard. Moreover, he moved his timelines to facilitate my own commitments - I had family visiting soon after and needed this work completed in time. He cleared up all of the debris and dust that was generated and my family commented on how his work had transformed the damages areas. What I was most impressed by was the care and attention he provided in his work - it was of a high quality that he should be very proud of. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

Paul first started working for me 20 years ago when we first moved into our house, and I have been using him ever since. I have had other decorators when he's been too busy and we've needed something done urgently, and I've never received the same standard of work. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and Paul's work is always faultless. It's hard to find professional (old school) decorators who have pride in their work. Paul always goes above and beyond; he preps well, and everything is clean and tidy when he finishes. I really couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Paul was excellent to deal with from start to finish. He was referred to be by a number of neighbours. He came over to meet us and gave us a detailed breakdown of the work he would carry out and then a breakdown of the costs for each room. He did a fantastic thorough job on walls and woodwork. All pictures were re hung, and re located if we wanted. He turned up on time each day and was accurate on when the job would be completed by. Paul has been painting and decorating our homes for almost twenty years. Originally recommended by a mutual friend, he has become a trustworthy and reliable worker, professional to the last and willing to go the extra mile always. His work is perfection, everything done to the highest standard, using top quality products. From the explicit quotes to the brilliant preparation through to the great finish. Paul recently decorated a sitting room for us, we were on holiday at the time and he had a free space so he collected spare keys and not only did he empty the room, he returned everything to its rightful place, including moving a mirror, so we came home to a beautiful clean and decorated room. I cannot recommend Paul highly enough, I’m only selfishly sorry he’s now in Norfolk. Lucky Norfolk, use him wisely.

We having been using Paul for 15-20 years after he was initially recommended by another family member. At some point he has decorated most of our property.
