Rich at RMS Electrical fixed an electrical fault on my outside bollard light. He completed the work efficiently and successfully. I am very impressed with his knowledge and honesty and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him for any electrical work you may need. I will definitely be using his services again.

I have used this electrician since 2011 when he installed a new fuse box. I had already received other quotes when he was recommended by a friend. Since then he has undertaken various works, including rewiring, replacement of security lighting / alarm system / aerial and most recently to service the alarm system and replace a remote cylinder thermostat to existing wiring. He has always given me a fair price, arrived within the time window and undertaken work efficiently to a good standard.

We initially got Richard to come to quote after a pre-house purchase EICR had been done by someone else. We quickly realised that EICR hadn't been done sufficiently. Richard explained all the way through what he was doing and what he had found which gave us confidence in his subsequent recommendations. We ended up getting a partial rewire. All the way through Richard?s communication was great and he provided us with real options. Very much recommend RMS.

We had a new kitchen installed which required all new electrics as well as the main distribution board being replaced the project was carried out very professionally with all relevant certifications as required by the local authority and we would have no hesitation in recommending RMS electrical services for any future electrical works.

We had an outdoor socket, additional garage light switch and a ring doorbell fitted by Rich. He arrived on time, gave great advice, provided a competitive quote, turned up for the work when he said he would and tidied up after himself. We will defo use him again.

Periodic electrical installation inspection and testing and remedial works found to be necessary leading to the issue of a safety certificate.

Installation of new induction hob, including new power supply (change from gas hob), cutting of stone worktop (subcontracted via RMS). Technical manufacturing problems with the hob meant it had to be replaced and Richard was extremely helpful and accommodating. The work was carried out to a very high standard and Richard has made sure that everything was carried out to our satisfaction. Reliable, honest, professional and very good workmanship.

Richard has carried out various electrical work for us. Initially changing all of our light fittings. We were so impressed with his work, we called him back to fit our Google nest doorbell. However what stood out more than anything was when we had a power cut due to an error by our tiler, Richard came over and resolved the issue straight away!

We sought an initial quote from RMS having seen that they were a Which trusted trader and local to us following John Lewis not installing a replacement oven as the original 13 amp plug socket didn't meet the new ovens 16 amp socket requirement. Richard assessed the situation for us the next day and worked out a solution that not only fixed our immediate problem but rectified an unsatisfactory set up from many years ago. A very reasonable price and very knowledgeable. Work carried out to high standard including the oven installation, neat and tidy as well. Really nice to do business with someone who communicated well at all times. Great customer service and would thoroughly recommend him. Our young black lab slept through the whole installation!

I contacted Richard by phone and he came out to look at the job early next day. I needed new sockets installed in the utility room and two old sockets removed. He provided a quotation by email which was clear, detailed, itemised all the work and the timescale and was competitively priced. We wanted the work done soon so Richard went out of his way to fit us in to do the job two days later. On the day he worked right through the day to get the job completed and we are extremely impressed by the quality of his work. We will certainly call Richard when we have future electrical works to be done and we highly recommend him.

I needed to replace a number of downlights whose bulbs had failed and were difficult to access. Richard's service was excellent from start to finish. He responded quickly to my phone calls and emails, arrived promptly for his initial assessment visit and subsequent appointment to carry out the work, and provided a well-laid out and reasonably-priced quote. His explanation of what was required was clear and easy to follow, and he combined a thoughtful approach to problem-solving with a concern for cost-effectiveness. The work itself was carried out diligently, efficiently and tidily, and Richard is a pleasant person to have working in one's home. Based on this experience, I asked Richard to advise on the electrical system of a property I was hoping to buy. Once again he provided a helpful and cost-effective response which demonstrated thoroughness, knowledge and a genuine interest in his area of expertise. I would certainly recommend him.

Richard has done a number of electrical jobs for us including wiring to a garden room, adding extra sockets in various places in our house, adding automatic lights that go on when we open our wardrobes and security lights outside. He's also come out in emergencies when our electrics stopped working (not electrics works that he had done originally!). He's knowledgeable, reliable, responsive, does his best to fit you in when it suits, clean and tidy and did a great job of everything including pulling up carpets / moving furniture where needed and then putting it back as though he'd never been there. We are really happy with all of the work and so glad to have a reliable electrician to call upon.

Today Richard came to install a new outside light on the front of our house. He arrived punctually discussed what he was going to do. The installation was not straight forward but Richard explained the problem and how he could fix it. He worked very hard making the wires disappear behind the walls and cavities. He kept us informed at all times and did a great job. When he finished he cleared everything up and hoovered leaving the carpets and floor spotless. This was not the first job he has done for us and we will definitely use his services again.
