"Simon responded promptly to my request on check-a-trade for costs. Communication was excellent throughout, responding quickly to each message i sent. Agreed a date for Installation, was contacted on the morning to advise of approximate time of arrival. All works carried out exactly as we agreed in initial discussions. Cleaned areas of works upon completion. Very professional service and wouldn't hesitate to use for any other electrical works in the future."

"Had Simon from SB Electrical Services in to complete some jobs such as fitting cooker and installing new lighting in bathroom. Simon was in contact throughout to let me know when he would be attending as he attended earlier than scheduled due to finishing previous job early. Simon was extremely knowledgeable and very fast and efficient at completing the jobs to a very high standard would definitely recommend and would have Simon in to complete any futures jobs. Was cost efficient and left work area in clean tidy state after the job."

Smart checks

Before you hire an electrician

In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations — confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done — it is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
Look for consistent reviews across several named sources, not one polished profile.
Check any verified credentials, and that the business details independently check out.
