Highlights

"Tim's been great, done a few jobs now - Electrical inspection and report before we moved in, gave a full report and quote for the work. Then did the work of locating and fixing a fault, refitted the fuse box, fitted smoke detectors. And has been again to fit a new extractor fan in the bathroom. All work done to a high standard, he explains what he's doing and goes through the options for the work, and has left instructions for us where necessary. Will definitely book Tim again if we need anything done, can't recommend highly enough."

"Tim is reliable and turned up on time, every time. He made an initial visit so he could give me a quote and we then met again to go through everything before he started. It was a big job as I had various bits of furniture/carpets still in the house which made his job a bit harder. He started and completed on time and stayed in touch with me, keeping me up to date as to where he was with the job. He is very neat and tidy and everything works perfectly. Very professional but also friendly."

Smart checks

Before you hire an electrician

In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations — confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done — it is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
Look for consistent reviews across several named sources, not one polished profile.
Check any verified credentials, and that the business details independently check out.
