Highlights

"Tony was commissioned to build a porch/entrance hall. he completed on time and the quality was superb. When he left the job completed he cleared and tidied everything up leaving the front garden as it was."

AnonymousCheckatrade5.0 rating

"Tony has cut my beech hedges for many years now and I can’t recommend him highly enough. This time as well as the hedges he put in new wooden fences along my back garden and removed two trees. It is always a pleasure to have him here. He is punctual and works so hard to get the job done."

"Tony carried out a garden wall creation with true creativity, attention to detail and amazing craftsmanship. He tore down an old retaining wall and created a new design to better enhance our parking space and provide a visually appealing entrance to our garden. He used our existing (old) brick and flint walls as an inspiration and created the most beautiful wall and stairway that looks as if it has always been part of the property. Tony was always on time, on his word and sought feedback throughout the process. I highly recommend he and his team and would absolutely use his services again."

Before you hire a builder

Never pay a large deposit up front — agree a staged payment schedule tied to completed milestones, and hold a small retention until snagging is done.
Get it in writing: an itemised quote with scope, materials, start and finish dates, and how any changes (variations) will be priced.
Be wary of a cash-only price or pressure to start tomorrow — both are red flags for an unaccountable job.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
