Highlights

"Would highly recommend this company, from initial telephone call to completion they delivered a top service. Started with a site visit by Darren who went through things and explained what would work best and gave us options to think about before sending full price and breakdown through, lads started the work turned up on time and got on with the job then Andrew turned up to make sure we were happy with it and said we could contact him anytime if we find any snags. No hassling to use them and came at a time that suited us. Always worth giving them a call if you need work doing to your property"

"I got three quotes from the top three on Checkatrade. Although Tyne & wear paving were not the cheapest of the quotes they gave the best description of the job.The team were excellent and tidied up at the end of each day. Good communication great standard of work and delivered exactly what was quoted. Even my neighbours commented how clean and tidy the team were and the good standard or work."

"T&W Paving did some work for me to extend my car parking on a new build that Bellway had initially promised but then later denied all knowledge of. Arrangement and discussion was very quick and easy with Darren visiting to take a look and measure up. Once price was agreed, job was able to progress within a week and the team assigned were equally good. Efficient, quick and in addition fitted two locking bollards I supplied myself. Excellent experience and would certainly use this company again in future. Many thanks."

Before you hire a landscaper

Get an itemised quote that separates plants and materials, any machinery or skip hire, and labour — a vague 'garden makeover' lump sum hides where the money goes and makes extra charges easy to add later.
Be wary of paying a large sum up front 'for materials' — agree staged payments against work you can see completed, especially for hard landscaping like patios, decking, paving or driveways.
Tree work and anything near a boundary can be regulated — protected trees and conservation areas often need permission, and removing a protected tree can be an offence. Confirm what is allowed, and that they carry public-liability insurance, before work starts.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
