This is the second time we have used Dave and his team at UTDB (We've got a basement Flat ). They have been so responsive. Good, clear communicators and have done an excellent job. We had removed laminate flooring to find the floor boards underneath disintegrating. Dave was quick to respond, got a team out two days later to clear the damage and find out what was going on. They then made the space safe and usable while we get ready for the next steps. Thoroughly recommend them.

I had been ignoring the damp wall at the back of my house until heavy rain saw water surging through the walls! David had sorted out a damp issue at the front of the house in 2023 so I gave him a call and he sorted me out with a very clear quote incl. damp proof the wall, install a french drain, redo the rotten and broken guttering and box off the boiler. The work was done really promptly, we had to wait a few days until it stopped raining but as soon as there was a rain free day Greg did all the works. Everything looks good as new, I'm so pleased, and would definitely use David and co again!

Up Top Down Below damp proofed and renovated the entire lower floor of my flat consisting of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and did a great job. I moved out while the work was being done and the communication was great. David was quick to respond. I got photos showing the progress on a daily basis and calls to talk through any issues/decisions. David and team even went out and sourced some of the bits I could get remotely. I returned to a really well finished tidy flat.

Bathroom and entry hall required complete waterproofing and then renovation. Communication throughout was great, David was quick to quote and get the job in the diary. Greg was the man on the job and was knowledgeable, listening to my needs and giving advice. It took longer than was originally quoted but understandably things crop up. I wanted someone who could manage the job from start to finish and they did that. Would use and recommend.

David was great, very clear and friendly and his foreman Greg who carried out the work was efficient. They communicated well throughout and were really helpful when suggesting what should be done. Would definitely go to David again.

Having called David to quote for the works necessary to our property, we found him and his team to be very friendly and approachable. The job was completed in line with timescales originally given to us with regular daily photos taken and shared for our records. All questions were promptly answered and our property was cleaned each and every day to leave it spotless. Highly recommend and will definitely contact David should we need his services again.

David and his team came out to help me promptly to assist with some redemption damp work they did for me c. 8 years ago. Great job, very efficient and keenly priced.

Following extensive roof leak which took ages to fix the ceiling and wall required damp treatment and redecoration. David was very professional and knowledgeable about the work. Timelines were agreed and kept. Work was done to professional standards and the team cleaned up as well. Would recommend and use again.

Well I contacted David in the morning we had a little chat of my intentions a was clear that he would call me as soon as he finished attending the job he was at the moment. He called me later on yesterday at 16 hrs and we chatted longer of my intentions, he asked me to give him a couple of days to respond with a written estimate of what was entitled and the costs, to which he got back to me today, just now with a whole entire description and costs of the job needed. To which I had to decline because it is not my house and didn't fancy spending that sum, to which I thought was quite spot on.

David and his team did a great job. David coordinated all the trades and ensured high standards were met. Communication was top rate with photographs at every stage. I would use David’s services again and recommend him if you have one job or multiple jobs.

I hired David at Up Top Down Below following substandard work being completed by another firm. The previous poor work resulted in complications and impacted my budget. I have found David and his foreman Greg to be helpful and communicative in reviewing the situation and agreeing a plan of work that was within my budget. As well as completing the dam proofing UTDB subcontracted electrical and plumbing work and so were able to work flexibly around those tradespeople. Complications with my property arose and UPTB effectively managed these and completed additional work at my request.

They were tidy, & punctual. They set up a watsapp group for us to discuss (owing to work commitments we wernt always around) They explained each part of the process & at the end of each day they fed back pictures of the work undertaken that day which meant I knew what had been done & what needed to be done, their finish quality was excellent (& I’m picky!!) to be honest, we met a few snags, (inevitable in any job) however I asked - and they dealt it ! It was clear they had a lot of knowledge in their profession which was matched by their buisiness dealings & I’d happily recommend them.

David and Greg were fantastic! After others failed to diagnose a the damp issue and root cause, David quickly identified the issue and fit the job in on short notice. He kept me informed throughout, and the work was completed to a high standard. I’m very happy with the results and highly recommend them.

David was very knowledgeable and gave very good, constructive advice. He spent a lot of time fully explaining everything to us. His assistant , Greg, was very hard working and also very knowledgeable. They were punctual, did everything they said they were going to do. The job came in on the agreed price and the final fee was not paid until the full job was completed. All the rubbish was taken away and the site was left clean and tidy. We are very happy with the work and would highly recommend Up Top Down Below to anyone. We would definitely use them in the future.

Good experience overall. Excellent communication. David did a damp survey in 2 rooms with damaged plaster and talked through repair/prevention options. Went for fitting if damp proof membrane and plasterboard. High quality of work by David and Greg, complimented by some other tradesmen.
