Highlights

"Can't recommend Gary enough. Lost all power in the middle of the night with no heating and a young child in the house, really stressful situation. Even though Gary already had other jobs lined up and it was very early in the morning, he came straight out to help us before going to his other work. Didn't make us feel like we were putting him out at all. Really friendly and sympathetic to the situation we were in - just a genuinely nice lad. You can tell he actually cares about helping people out, not just getting the job done. Clearly knew his stuff as well. Got everything diagnosed and sorted"

"A bathroom ceiling built in light needed replacing. Before quoting I was asked to send a photo of the failing light. This saved time as it was explained the whole unit needed replacing I was quoted a very reasonable price and Wear Sparks were available to cart out the work the same day. They arrived promptly. They were very courteous and took care not to soil the property. Work was carried out quickly and satisfactorily. In the end I got all 4 lights replaced as all were of the same age. The new ones fitted are superior and in future can be replaced by simply plugging in a new light"

Before you hire an electrician

In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations — confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done — it is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
Look for consistent reviews across several named sources, not one polished profile.
Check any verified credentials, and that the business details independently check out.
