Good attention to detail and great quality of workmanship
We used Paul Slattery of William Oliver Interiors to totally re-fit our main bathroom. He is very skilled, not just at plumbing, but also tiling, electrics, joinery, and painting. A good all-round bathroom fitter, he was reliable, trustworthy, cheerful and overcame any snags that arose. He did an excellent job and we are very happy with the result.
Finding Paul's details on Which was great. Despite not being able to be there for most of the time that the work was being done Paul kept in touch and ran decisions by me. His workmanship was outstanding on all fronts and the room was left tidy after every day's work. I am already negotiating with Paul about doing more work on my house.
We can't put into words how pleased we are with the end result of our bathroom! Paul's forward thinking and wealth of knowledge, across all things that related to the renovation, put us in a strong position whenever questions and decisions arose. The time, care and energy poured in to this significant project is something we are incredibly grateful for. We've had a completely new bathroom, with walls and location of facilities being in an alternative position. As mentioned in his Which description, Paul's attention to detail goes beyond expectation and has left us with a superb finish. We had found Paul on Which and cannot tell you how relieved we are now that it's finished! Thank you, Paul!
I found Paul Slattery through Which Trusted Traders and can honestly say his work is fantastic. I can’t recommend him highly enough, in fact my husband's parent were so impressed they have contacted Paul with a view to re-tile their bathroom and en-suite. Paul re-tiled the whole of our bathroom, replaced a bath with a shower, replaced our toilet and repaired our sandstone basin and installed a new tap and it looks absolutely beautiful.
My electric shower went wrong and I had to purchase a new one. William Oliver interiors were asked to do the work at short notice as an emergency as it is regularly used. He turned up promptly, worked efficiently although had issues as new electric shower was smaller than previous one and completely tidied up after the work was complete. Very happy with the job undertaken.
I had various jobs done by William Oliver Interiors, which included kitchen tiling and refurbishing of kitchen cabinets. I also had new wooden bedroom flooring in three room and one bedroom decorated. Paul was meticulous in all of his work from start to finish and I was extremely happy with the finished look. I would definitely highly recommend to anyone.
I had a kitchen refit which involved clearing out the old kitchen, repairing floor damage and pipework and fitting a new kitchen and top. The quality of the work was just what I was looking for and I am super happy with the result!

Removal of bath panel fit new shower pump, replace damaged bath panel. Screed floor. Fitting of new vinyl flooring. Replace and refitting of boxed pipework fitted over flooring. Kitchen. Filling of cracks in ceiling and walls and repaint. Replace spotlights. Fitting of new dishwasher. Wooden worktop sanded and treated. Hallway. Removal of all wood flooring and underlay. Filling of cracks to walls and ceiling, stain stop and repainting of hallway. Screeding of floor and fitting new wooden flooring with underlay. All cosmetic allowances covered. Price includes all construction materials, paint and labour. Customer to supply electrical items and flooring. The quote was as I expected and stayed the same price throughout the work. He was incredibly tidy and there was no unwanted waste or mess during or after the work had been completed which was AMAZING, I would recommend and i would use them again in any future home refurbishments or projects.
The thermostatic mixer valve of our shower was leaking in the loft. The access to the valve was poor as it had been tiled over. To access the valve required the removal of the shower enclosure door and several tiles. Paul took everything apart, fixed the problem and put it back together again so it looked like new. He was responsive to all communication. I will be using his services again.
This was a job to fix a kitchen cold water tap which would not turn off. I rang William Oliver Interiors on Saturday evening and spoke to Paul who was out of my area, but said to call the next day if I could not find an alternative plumber. On Sunday morning I left phone messages for five or six plumbers but with no luck, most not replying. So I rang Paul who was more than prepared to come out. In no time at all he found the exterior stop cock (there being no functioning one at hand) and set about fixing the problem. He then fixed another tap in the bathroom which only worked intermittently. Although not complex problems, they were serious for me, especially out of normal working hours during a weekend. Paul went out of his way to come at short notice and do these jobs, and as well as being very professional and experienced, he was very friendly and accommodating. Also his charge was excellent value for money. I shall certainly contact William Oliver Interiors again for any kitchen (or bedroom) work in the future.
My shower tray was leaking badly as it was cracked. Paul cleared out the mess of the shower tray and made good the wood panels under the shower. He installed a bigger shower tray and put some new tiles on the walls plus he installed a new shower for me too. Paul was very efficient and he cleared up everyday before he left. I had my new shower fitted and working within 3 1/2 days and I am so pleased with the results. Paul is an efficient, honest, hard working and trusting person who I would recommend to everyone.
