Ali has completed at least four projects for us including strengthening collapsing brickwork over the garage entrance, woodwork repairs, painting, and relaying granite patio paving. On our recommendation, friends had extensive work carried out by Ali to repair the leaking roof on their house and to make good the damage caused by the leak. His work is of excellent quality and very affordable. On occasion, he has not charged for minor work. It is good to have someone we can trust and rely when we need to have work done.

We have used Ali and his team 3-4 times over the year and in this time, they repaired a number of issues for us. He replaced part of the fitted kitchen which was damaged and the broken integrated oven and microwave also had to be replaced and integrated. Once the work was completed in good time and clean, the kitchen looked amazing and the integrated appliances were perfectly blended it and worked fine - amazing job. He also replaced the whole ceiling in the porch as it had cracked in half and redecorated to make it look like new which was suburb. There was no mess and no paint runs or marks, another amazing job well done. The last thing he repaired for us was the kitchen pipe protective box door which was broken and would not open or close. The pipe and box were fitted to the top corner of the ceiling so he had to remove the door, fix it and then reattach it back and was fully tested to make sure all works as expected. Part of the solution was to be creative and find alternative solution to be able to open it to 90 degrees angle max and not further to prevent breaking again or falling off totally. We have always found him to be an amazing professional, impeccable manners, great communication, health and safety taken into consideration and all completed on schedule and wihin budget - no surprises. We have used traders in the past who have all let us down one way or other and therefore I would be very happy to say Ali is second to none and would always recommend him.

Redecoration of small bedroom including plasterwork to ceiling and walls, fixing of insulated plasterboard, new skirting and coving. Full repaint of walls and woodwork. Also re-sited electrical points and installed new light fitting. Replacement of one double-glazed sealed unit. Helpful information contained in quote, work carried out in good time with care to our property and within budget. All staff attending were polite and professional. There was one problem with a leaking radiator valve which was dealt with promptly and efficiently.

Ali removed damaged render to the front of the property and replaced with new. He worked in the torrential rain to get the render removed and then returned to complete the job, tidying away and leaving a good finish. He was very clear communicating what needed to be done and kept to his quote.

We used Wittick Building Ltd to convert an unused study into a toilet and utility room. This involved new plumbing and electrics as well as building work and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Richard and the team completed the work with real skill and care and offered helpful suggestions along the way (e.g. for extra storage) to deliver the best possible result. They were also extremely tidy and considerate and we felt the price for the work was fair. We would happily recommend Wittick Building Ltd and have already approached them for our next project.

We contracted Wittick Building Ltd for some fairly extensive renovation work including structural changes, flooring, tiling, plastering, and much more. Ali and Richard really took the time to understand our project and had plenty of useful suggestions and advice. They provided a detailed initial quote for the works, worked with us to iron out every last detail before we signed the contract, and communication was excellent throughout. The work was completed on spec and to a high standard throughout the house. Richard put care into every detail and every time we visited he would take us through his thinking about various aspects of the job, and show us his handiwork. Costs were discussed frankly and transparently. Richard advised us from the outset that in jobs of this kind, it’s a good idea to keep some funds in reserve as contingencies inevitably arise, so we were not caught off guard when stripping the existing decoration revealed unforeseen issues. On these occasions, Richard and Ali communicated openly about the extent of the issues and worked with us to figure out the best solution. We were invoiced according to the payment schedule we agreed to and the invoices did not contain any surprises. All in all, it was a pleasure working with Wittick from start to finish and I very highly recommend them.

Ali has done several big and smaller decorating and repairs for us. He has a great team of workers , is knowledgeable and fairly priced. His work is done to an extremely high standard with thorough preparation and superb finish. He transforms rooms , nothing is too much trouble and his team are a delight to have in the house.

We've used Wittick Building's services several times over the years for both big jobs and small ones. Ali Wittick is like our house's GP. This latest job was one of diagnosis - where were those cracks and damp patches coming from? - and then an effective solution, speedily carried out. Ali did bathroom repairs for us in March and April 2025. In the bathroom he installed a new shower bracket and screen seal and renewed the silicone around the edge of the bathtub. These are small jobs that many builders refuse to do - Ali did them well (better than others in the past). In the tiny guest toilet, he re-tiled an area that had been damaged by a water leak. This was fiddly work, the tiles had to fit in with existing ones. Ali does even small jobs thoroughly and with care, everything looks good. We will definitely ask Ali again if we need any refurbishments.

Ali came to replaster our hall, stairs, and landing walls and totally redecorate, after we had a leak from our bathroom. They were absolutely reliable, honest, and friendly, and the finished job looks fantastic. As always with building work, issues arose whilst doing the work (not anything to do with their work), such as a problem with the radiator and the fact that we decided to also re-carpet as well. Nothing was a problem for Ali, and he got a plumber around to sort the radiator, took up all the carpet without complaint, and recommended a great carpet fitter. He even managed to rescue our wall chart, which we had been doing for years, with the wallpaper to show how much the kids had grown! It was all done to a high standard, and the price was very fair. They always cleaned up after themselves. We recommend Ali and those who work for him without reservation.

Wittick building performed for kitchen vent, including drain work on the outside of the house, a new extension roof, and window installation, together with a complete rework of the kitchen floor, place on defects discovered during explorative rip out of the previous kitchen. Ali and his team are a credit to their profession. Ali quickly understood the brief and scope of work, recommended window installers, and provided valuable consultancy to solve problems both in advance and as they arose during the work. Ali is also very positive in his outlook and always looks to provide the best solution with a view to the best value too. His team is polite, attentive, and responsive to changes or feedback on issues observed, which are quickly corrected. Given the extensive nature of the work and the time it took to complete, whenever never felt uncomfortable despite the team being in our house for six weeks! I am very happy with the final product, and have no hesitation in recommending Ali and his team in the future.

Ali’s team has done more work for us this year. We have an old house in constant need of TLC. His team completed a range of work, including the repair of a dripping tap, the replacement of another set of very old taps, the repair of woodwork on the back door, and the external painting of all outside woodwork at the back of the house. His team was excellent as ever - arriving when they said they would, highly skilled, friendly, and doing all jobs to a very high quality. Would not hesitate to recommend them - and hoping they will continue to do work for us!

Andrew did a great job painting our very old big front door , carefully filling all the cracks and it looks like new! Window frames also looking good. Very pleased with result.

We’ve used Ali before - he helped us out 10 years ago after a kitchen floor was incorrectly laid by another builder. He was really professional then, he was thorough and tidy and helped us out of a really tricky situation. This time, we asked him to do some refurb work on a bedroom and a bathroom. Our experience was exactly the same this time. He was always reliable, punctual, worked to high standard and his contractors were reliable too. All in all, a great service - thoroughly recommended!
