Wittick Building took out our bath and installed a walk-in shower. The work included replacing ceramic tiles around the shower, replacing ceramic floor tiles with lino, and painting the room. Before the work started they advised on the most appropriate accessories to buy, and obtained them for us. They also obtained the tiling we had chosen. As we live in a flat there was an initial problem finding the water stopcock, which did not phase their plumber. We have used many builders in the past and must say that Ali and his team were head and shoulders above the rest. Not only were they fast and thorough workers but they worked long hours to finish the job, cleaned up every night, were friendly and kept us informed of the progress throughout. I could not have asked for more.

Ali's team did some jobs for me including redecorating the entire hallway and landing in my 3 storey house. The decorator was excellent. He was very easy to talk to and worked very efficiently, getting the work done within the agreed timeframe without leaving any mess. Other members of Ali's team have subsequently helped me out with electrical and plumbling jobs. Again, I have found them to be friendly and helpful and they have sorted out my issues efficiently and at a reasonable price.

Work done - Bedroom and through lounge replastered and painted. Hallway and landing repainted. The estimates Ali provided were clear and any discrepancy was dealt with easily. John who done the plastering and decorating done a fantastic job, in my opinion it was a very high standard. He was punctual, polite and very tidy. John helped me with choosing colours, gave advice on paints and general decorating tips. I also need a cupboard building around a boiler which Ali and his colleague fitted. Again they were punctual and completed the job quickly and to a lovely standard. Ali had to return and resolve an issue with the cupboard which he did with no hassle. I was so pleased with the work that John had done and the ease of dealing with Ali, that I have booked for two more rooms to be replasterd and decorated.

Ali has done work for us for over 10 years and has never failed us. Most recently, he modified our main bathroom. He removed the bath and replaced it with a walk-in shower, new wall panels, and a composite shower with a hand spray and rainfall head. New drainage had to be fitted, and new vinyl flooring laid. We needed this installation in a hurry, and he managed to fit us in and complete the work in time to our complete satisfaction. In the past, he has, for example, insulated and decorated a previously cold bedroom and repaired and redecorated a ceiling which had suffered from a leaky roof. Ali is friendly, polite, and totally reliable. He is good at problem-solving and finding solutions to difficult tasks, and I have no hesitation in recommending him.

We’ve used Ali before - he helped us out 10 years ago after a kitchen floor was incorrectly laid by another builder. He was really professional then, he was thorough and tidy and helped us out of a really tricky situation. This time, we asked him to do some refurb work on a bedroom and a bathroom. Our experience was exactly the same this time. He was always reliable, punctual, worked to high standard and his contractors were reliable too. All in all, a great service - thoroughly recommended!

All work is completed on time to a high-quality finish, and I have always been kept up-to-date throughout every stage of the project. I have also been lucky enough to be able to go on a holiday whilst having a project completed and returning home to a home that has been left immaculate and a fantastic standard of work provided. Ali’s team has done more work for us this year. We have an old house in constant need of TLC. His team completed a range of work, including the repair of a dripping tap, the replacement of another set of very old taps, the repair of woodwork on the back door, and the external painting of all outside woodwork at the back of the house. His team was excellent as ever - arriving when they said they would, highly skilled, friendly, and doing all jobs to a very high quality. Would not hesitate to recommend them - and hoping they will continue to do work for us!

Andrew did a great job painting our very old big front door , carefully filling all the cracks and it looks like new! Window frames also looking good. Very pleased with result.

Ali has done several big and smaller decorating and repairs for us. He has a great team of workers , is knowledgeable and fairly priced. His work is done to an extremely high standard with thorough preparation and superb finish. He transforms rooms , nothing is too much trouble and his team are a delight to have in the house.

We've used Wittick Building's services several times over the years for both big jobs and small ones. Ali Wittick is like our house's GP. This latest job was one of diagnosis - where were those cracks and damp patches coming from? - and then an effective solution, speedily carried out. Excellent work, as ever, with friendly and flexible customer service.

Ali did bathroom repairs for us in March and April 2025. In the bathroom he installed a new shower bracket and screen seal and renewed the silicone around the edge of the bathtub. These are small jobs that many builders refuse to do - Ali did them well (better than others in the past). In the tiny guest toilet, he re-tiled an area that had been damaged by a water leak. This was fiddly work, the tiles had to fit in with existing ones. Ali does even small jobs thoroughly and with care, everything looks good. We will definitely ask Ali again if we need any refurbishments.

Ali came to replaster our hall, stairs, and landing walls and totally redecorate, after we had a leak from our bathroom. They were absolutely reliable, honest, and friendly, and the finished job looks fantastic. As always with building work, issues arose whilst doing the work (not anything to do with their work), such as a problem with the radiator and the fact that we decided to also re-carpet as well. Nothing was a problem for Ali, and he got a plumber around to sort the radiator, took up all the carpet without complaint, and recommended a great carpet fitter. He even managed to rescue our wall chart, which we had been doing for years, with the wallpaper to show how much the kids had grown! It was all done to a high standard, and the price was very fair. They always cleaned up after themselves. We recommend Ali and those who work for him without reservation.

Wittick building performed for kitchen vent, including drain work on the outside of the house, a new extension roof, and window installation, together with a complete rework of the kitchen floor, place on defects discovered during explorative rip out of the previous kitchen. Ali and his team are a credit to their profession. Ali quickly understood the brief and scope of work, recommended window installers, and provided valuable consultancy to solve problems both in advance and as they arose during the work. Ali is also very positive in his outlook and always looks to provide the best solution with a view to the best value too. His team is polite, attentive, and responsive to changes or feedback on issues observed, which are quickly corrected. Given the extensive nature of the work and the time it took to complete, whenever never felt uncomfortable despite the team being in our house for six weeks! I am very happy with the final product, and have no hesitation in recommending Ali and his team in the future.
