Highlights

"I wanted to replace taps in the kitchen, bathroom & change the freestanding bathroom handbasin for a vanity unit. Alan came initially to give an estimate for the work and gave good advice on which taps would be suitable for my water system. Once I had sourced the materials he fitted me in very quickly to carry out the work. All work was completed to a very high standard. In particular the installation of the vanity unit, which had to work around existing pipework, has been beautifully finished. Alan is a neat & tidy worker & I am very happy with the work."

"I honestly can't recommend Alan highly enough. We needed our hot water tank replacing, a pressurised system installed and a new shower fitted. I'd had no success with asking other plumbers I knew to do it so a friend gave me Alan's details. From the outset he was communicative, responsive and helpful, and started the job soon. The job he did was excellent - fantastic quality, great value and he just cracks on with it, works ever so hard. Have already recommended him to several friends and will call him for any future plumbing needs. Best plumber we've ever found by a long shot!"

"Alan recently carried out works on the heating system of my old house which has been extended over the years and was not straight forward. He also sorted out some plumbing issues too. Everything was done with his trademark professionalism and good humour. Thoroughly recommended."

Smart checks

Before you hire a gas engineer

By law, anyone working on your gas appliances must be on the Gas Safe Register — ask to see their Gas Safe ID card and check the licence number at gassaferegister.co.uk before they start.
Never let an unregistered person touch your gas: unsafe gas work risks carbon monoxide poisoning, fire and explosion, and is a criminal offence.
For a boiler or appliance install, get the work and price in writing and keep the Gas Safe / Building Regulations certificate they are required to give you.
Confirm they cover your area and can actually come out in your timeframe before anything else.
Read recent reviews for reliability and turning up on time — not only the quality of the work.
