We have had a very longstanding problem with visible damp patches on one of the chimney breasts in our Victorian house. We sought advice from several contractors, but couldn’t seem to get a credible diagnosis of the issues. The survey process itself was excellent. Simon swiftly diagnosed the problems and was able to explain them in a clear and simple manner, which we could readily understand. We asked Simon to conduct a damp survey in our rented flat due to signs of mould. He reviewed the flat with us and took time to understand our concerns. He investigated each room including the roof space and exterior roof. Simon was very thorough and provided us with a detailed report including recommendations and estimates. Simon did a very thorough investigation of the affected area and the rest of house. We had a problem for many years but never really got to the bottom of the issue. Simon looked under floor boards, air bricks, ventilation in the house. Using humidity meters we were able to take regular readings and we have been able to understand the problem. Simon's report came through very quickly with recommendations of what action to take. He was with us for nearly 2 hours.

Simon was brilliant, very professional, really knowledgeable and massively helpful. In the process of the survey he was so incredibly thorough, for example taking apart and checking our extractor fans and their potential, and actually got one performing much better. He also lent us a humidity sensor, set it up for us and explained how to share the readings with him so he could have the most accurate data. Simon managed to get the final report to us quicker than expected as he knew we needed it done speedily. The report was very detailed, with great advice around how to improve our property.
