We have used Rob - and Hertford Plumbers - on many occasions in the past. We had an old central heating programmer that had been in use since the year dot, and only allowed one series of timings which was not suitable for the current time. Rob replaced this with a new Hive system, as this allows multiple timings, and also used a blanking plate to cover the area where the previous programmer was located. Even assisted with setting up the timings and the App installation.

We’ve been using Hertford Plumbers for quite a few years now to service our boiler and central heating system, and most recently to deal with a troublesome toilet. The work is always undertaken by Mark in a timely way, is to a high standard, the charges are reasonable and communication with both Mark and John is excellent. Both Rob and John were very knowledgable on all aspects of the bathroom renovation. They gave great advice, talked us through the process as they worked and were great at communicating when and on what they would work and at what stage they were with the job.

Rob, John and Brendon renovated a bathroom for us. This included adjusting the plumbing and heating pipework and tiling the full bathroom. All work was completed to a high standard, and everything explained clearly so we knew what to expect.

I recently hired Hertford Plumbers to install a new boiler and a bath screen, and the entire experience was excellent. They provided a very competitive quote and were able to schedule the job promptly. Rob and John were highly professional—punctual, efficient, tidy, and respectful of my property. The bath screen installation was not straightforward, but Rob did a fantastic job ensuring it was fitted properly.

Hertford Plumbing Ltd quoted competitively for the supply and installation of a new Worcester Bosch Compact 25 condensing boiler in my son’s flat in September 2019 as accredited Bosch installers. The installation was complicated by the old boiler not being a condensating boiler and the location required the installation of a condensate pump and pipe work. Hertford Plumbing Ltd was the most communicative about how to achieve the installation and were the most competitive as well. They have serviced the boiler every year since at reasonable cost.

Rob’s company completely refitted our bathroom a couple of years ago. Replacing walls and floor; tiling throughout; fitting everything and replacing a shower pump in the airing cupboard. He returned to fit five column radiators and reposition two existing radiators. He replaced our existing brass rad pipes with chrome, even those in tiled flooring. He is always easy to contact and quick to respond. He has just replaced our old wall thermostats and a faulty pillar tap. We always call him for any plumbing work and I am confident in recommending him.

Really good experience and would definitely use again. Not only fixed the initial issue, but gave really good advice about other plumbing problems around the house and ways we can prevent issues in the future. Polite, tidy, knowledgeable and reliable - 100% recommend.

We first found Hertford Plumbers a few years ago when we were let down by a major British homecare provider who misdiagnosed what turned out to be a simple problem. Since then, Hertford Plumbers have replaced our central heating, installed a new bathroom and continue to do our annual boiler and gas checks. Most recently they fitted a new wireless thermostat. We have always found Hertford Plumbers to be extremely friendly and accommodating. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable plumbing service.

Rob is a very friendly and trusted (as well as certified) plumber. He arrived promptly and completed all jobs to an extremely high standard. He also checked with us that the job was satisfactory before clearing everything up. Will definitely use Hertford Plumbers in the future.

Rob/John and their team were always on time and very professional. Rob made good knowledgeable suggestions to improve our plumbing plans and John did a great job with all the electrics. It was a big upheaval for us as this is our only bathroom and at times the disruption did get us down but John was always understanding and helped manage our needs. 10/10 for Alfie who was a pleasure to have working here, professional, hardworking and came back to fit a combi mate to prevent scale in our new bathroom. Couple of snags which were sorted in good time, beautiful job from the team.

I realised there was substantial leak somewhere under the floorboards, but couldn't identify where. Contacted these guys and they managed to visit me next day. The source was quickly found and repaired, with as little disruption of the floorboards as possible. Very grateful for the prompt and professional service.
