Detailed reviews

There aren’t enough characters to describe the full events but here is a summary:- Arrived to install a supplied cistern. Unable to fit stating that the part supplied with the cistern was incorrect and caused a leak. Agreed to attend the next day. Didn’t show and didn’t communicate that they weren’t returning. They also stole the cistern mount. Had to get another plumber in. Discovered that there wasn’t a faulty part and plumber paramedics had cut the flush pipe too short, which caused the leak. I wouldn’t recommend and going by other reviews they a history of not returning.

Gas work is restricted by law to Gas Safe registered engineers. If they'll touch a boiler or any gas appliance, confirm they're currently on the register before you hire - it's free and takes a minute.

Smart checks

Before you hire a gas engineer

By law, anyone working on your gas appliances must be on the Gas Safe Register — ask to see their Gas Safe ID card and check the licence number at gassaferegister.co.uk before they start.
Never let an unregistered person touch your gas: unsafe gas work risks carbon monoxide poisoning, fire and explosion, and is a criminal offence.
For a boiler or appliance install, get the work and price in writing and keep the Gas Safe / Building Regulations certificate they are required to give you.
Confirm they cover your area and can actually come out in your timeframe before anything else.
Read recent reviews for reliability and turning up on time — not only the quality of the work.
