"The plumber arrived as promised and repaired my leak. He was very reassuring and provided advice for drying out the space. I felt confident in his knowledge and he was very pleasant person. I tend to contact him again when I need any plumbing help."

"Fast response to my advert and remained in contact whilst waiting for the shower to arrive from the suppliers. Scott carried out the installation in a highly efficient and professional manner, so much so that I would use him again in the future"

Gas work is restricted by law to Gas Safe registered engineers. If they'll touch a boiler or any gas appliance, confirm they're currently on the register before you hire - it's free and takes a minute.

Smart checks

Before you hire a gas engineer

By law, anyone working on your gas appliances must be on the Gas Safe Register — ask to see their Gas Safe ID card and check the licence number at gassaferegister.co.uk before they start.
Never let an unregistered person touch your gas: unsafe gas work risks carbon monoxide poisoning, fire and explosion, and is a criminal offence.
For a boiler or appliance install, get the work and price in writing and keep the Gas Safe / Building Regulations certificate they are required to give you.
Confirm they cover your area and can actually come out in your timeframe before anything else.
Read recent reviews for reliability and turning up on time — not only the quality of the work.
